A Day at a Ranch

The kids and I got to spend a day at my friends ranch last week. They were branding calves. Man, does that ever STINK!! Burnt hair and skin! They had fun trying to pet the calves. Alex and Tyler took their guns and they were on the hunt for ground hogs. No ground hogs but there was some shooting goin on!! It was an enjoyable day for all!

Zachary is growing up!!

My Zachary is not a baby anymore!! Last week, all in one week he lost 3 teeth. He didn't even cry when his dad yanked them out (really yanked hard)!!

Earth Day Parade

Basalt Elementary got to put on the Earth Day Parade. All the kids in the school participated. They all made signs to carry and chanted "save the earth" as they walked throught downtown Basalt.

Dan's Day Out!

Dan got invited to go pheasant hunting with some guys from work. It was one of his best days of hunting ever! (I guess if you call it hunting) They stood in a line while pheasants were let go one at a time. The poor pheasants!! After a half an hour there were close to 70 birds that didn't even have a chance!

Strawberries Anyone?

Zachary just had his Kindergarten play "How does your Garden Grow?" The cutest strawberry of the bunch!!

Hedgehog Chase

Chase had fun in his 2nd Grade play. He was a hedgehog in the Tortoise and the Hare.

Winter in Colorado

Still trying to learn how to Blog. Here are some pictures of some of the things we did this last winter. Dan was really good at taking and teaching the boys how to snow ski. They all did pretty good. Even Zachary tried it for the 1st time this winter.
